The DLC takes heavy inspiration from its namesake, revamping existing game mechanics to fit the Scandinavian setting. November 15, 2021 — Age of Empires III was released in 2005, and with the release of Age of Empires IV in October, it has awakened the sleeping strategy game franchise with a proper sequel that is not a “Definitive Edition” or anything like that, but a proper sequel to satisfy fans of the series while leaving the door open for players not familiar with the franchise that launched decades ago in 1997.

‘Hades’ Refreshed

Developed in China, ‘Eastern Exorcist’ is a hand-drawn 2D Souls-like with plenty of RPG elements that draws inspiration from Chinese folklore and theater & opera.

July 26, 2021 — The most recent release from Chinese publisher Bilibili, Eastern Exorcist is a hack-and-slash RPG that somewhat surprisingly does not make use of Free2Play mechanics — the established business practice in China for most games. Eastern Exorcist instead offers a more traditional approach to monetization — players pay once, as with a typical western title.
